I Love Baking! And Eating it too!

I helped mama bake a fudge brownie cake the other day! Well all I did was pour the flours into the mixer but that's still something right? :D

And here I am proudly sitting next to our finished product. Babah and mama said it doesn't taste that great cause we used stoneground wholemeal flour, low fat milk and 1/4 of the sugar of what the recipe prescribed. But it's all about being healthy and getting our tastebuds used to eating things that are not so sweet... well I hardly noticed cause I loved it! Oh wait.. or maybe that was the MnMs toppings I was supposed to decorate the cake with...hmm..

Sunday Morning..

Our family went to Muara Beach last Sunday morning to enjoy the fresh air, the cool sea breeze, the natural scenery AND the awesome playground! Of course upon arriving (at 10am! didn't manage to wake up earlier as planned!) and all covered in SPF50, it took us a while to adapt to the "warm" temperature.. as you can see from our expressions below..

So Mama said to put on my sunhat to help protect my face from the sun more but as you can see, it didn't really do much and no sooner then that took it off!

I hereby confirm that I am definitely the bravest out of the 3 siblings because not only was there not a single tear out of me, I actually enjoyed going on the swing for the first time!

Then I followed my abang (who's so bossy I don't really have a choice) to sit across him and bounce up and down on something they call a see-saw.. It was fun too!

Oh I ditched my brothers early on already as I went straight to the main playground area! Here is ambitious me climbing up these balancing mini poles.. Babah insisted to stand close by to hold my hand even though I really didn't need him there!

Then I went down the slides.. which wasn't as smooth as I wanted to be cause I was wearing my shoes. But as soon as I took them off and left my socks on, I was almost flying away! Much to my surprise!!Hehe!

Once we were done with the playground, and since it wasn't that scorching hot, we went to the beach for a short while to play with the sand. I found a seashell which later in the day I gave to nenek girl as a present. And then I pretended a stick was a pencil and wrote my name on the sand!

My siblings and I had such a fun day! Hope there'll be more visits to come!

Going Swimming

We had planned to go swimming at nenek's house so many times but it just seemed like everytime we were about to go, at least one of us will be having the cold! So when the moment came when all of us were well and there was a free Sunday late afternoon that we can spend doing this, we immediately grabbed the opportunity and went straight to nenek's house and swam to our hearts' desires!

Actually for me, what delayed it some more was me not actually having a swimming trunk as babah said to just use abang's which no one ever got round to dig out! So in the end mama just succumbed and bought this adorable one piece! Hey it protects me from the sun rays at least!

So at the age of 13 months I finally went for my first dip and I LOVED it! Unlike abang and kakak (who cried at their first times - though technically kakak didn't cry at her first time at the waddling pool but she did at nenek's pool), I didn't cry at all! I was a complete natural and it was not before long that I started paddling my feet to move forward!

Oh I missed swimming so much... I love just floating around and being pushed in this floater...

My usual ring float broke and since I really wanted to swim after not having done so in such a long time, I braved myself to use this arm floaties that I've never tried before! At first I just wanted to hang on to mama the whole time but mama tricked me and halfway in the pool, she let go of me and I had to fend for my own! I nearly cried but as soon as I realised that I was still floating, I was so proud of myself and just gained more and more confidence after that!

Sigh... we just wish babah and mama would take us more! Can you believe that it is now more than a month since we've gone! We're so scared that nenek is going to close the pool up as we've overheard saying that since no one uses the pool! Remember nenek - WE want to use it ok! Saja our parents are so unrealiable to bring us! Please don't close it ok!

My First Day

Hi all! It's my turn to talk about pweshes me! And I had to start this post with a BANG because I started school this week! Woohoo!!

I know that just less than 2 months ago, the idea was still very scary for me so whenever mama asked me if I wanted to go to school, I'd always say "no!". But slowly, I began to warm up with the idea, especially when mama brought me along to the playschool when picking up Abang from his therapy which is held upstairs. As soon as I saw the abundance of toys, I immediately thought this might not be so bad. And THEN, when babah bought me a Disney Princesses Lunchbox which can ONLY be used for school, I was SOLD!

So here I am on my first morning of school, holding on to my beloved new lunchbox! As you can see, my eyes are kinda "sepet" as that's cause I never had to wake up so early before! I dunno how abang does it! See how excited I am?! Mama was really surprised at how easy it was for me to wake up and get dressed that early AND still able to flash this cheeky smile to the camera! What can I say?! I WAS really excited!

As soon as we reached school, I was still excited but didn't show it as much cause you know how jual mahal I am.. I acted all "coolly" with teacher Melissa and when being introduced to my classmates, Sam, Dominic and Jashran. (Yes, I only have boys as classmates on Mondays but thankfully there is another girl on Wednesday!).

Babah and mama thought Auntie Ida should just stay with me since it was my first day. But to be honest, I really didn't mind if she didn't! I was just having too much fun! That table above with all the play-doh stuff was JUST the beginning!

Apparently, teacher Melissa had good feedback about me to tell mama. She told mama how I spoke up in front of everyone during snacktime when we were sharing with each other what we liked to do outside. And mine was "I like to play in the playhouse".

Auntie Ida also reported to mama how I was trying really hard to impress teacher Melissa and that I didn't want her to open my lunch box and instead asked Melissa to do it.. hehhee.. She also told mama about me playing shop with Dominic at the playhouse and how I pretended to be a locomotive train with everyone..

Needless to say, I think everyone can see how my confidence just soared a little more after that one session! I was just chattier with others once I got home and just did not stop playing!

Too bad I only go twice a week as I would love to go everyday! But I guess I have to keep Addin company those other days right! Will keep you updated!

how cheeky am I???

Hi again all (after such a long break from this blog!). I've come to share some latest anecdotes about me!

1. I am really into imitating the actions of nursery rhymes, like marching like a soldier to the song "Captain Brown" and making the "babababa" sound after abang and kakak sings "10 little Indian boys!".. I guess you can say I'm very "musical"?

2. It takes me such a long time to swallow my food now so don't be surprised if you see me having a lumpy cheek-that's just my meals being stuck till I feel like swallowing them! :-0!

3. I'm pointing and making sounds more to whatever it is that I want .. which is a lot as I want to have everything around me! Mama calls me "perakus"!

4. I also point to where something is when I'm asked, like I point to the fan, the TV or to members of the family when asked where they are..

5. I just love to show off my toys and when I'm playing with them, I would always turn around to see if others are watching me play with it;

6. And if I do see kakak showing interest I would tease her by showing her the toy more closely and when she wants to take it, I quickly zoom off and run away with it! HAHAHA!

7. I seem to really like doing this-leading people on- that sometimes whenever I see Auntie Nur coming my way, I'd quickly run to mama in case Auntie Nur wants to take me with her. But when she just passes me by, I would then follow her and "make" her think that I want her to take me. And as soon as she says "Mau auntie nur ambil?" I quickly zoom off and run back to mama! HAHAHA!

8. Mama is accepting me to be a late talker but she is content to hear me babble and making all sorts of sounds now. I especially can't shut up when I'm about to sleep! Have to have the last say!

9. I love to play Mr. Tickle with Mama, Abang and Kakak where the 3 of us would wait in anticipation as we don't know which one of us is going to get it.. and when it's me I just give out this loud chuckle! I love it!! But I still laugh when Abang and Kakak gets it too!

10. Kakak has started going to school on Monday and Wednesday and I miss having her around. I try to follow her by getting my shoes everytime she's putting on hers when she's about to leave but I always get intercepted and told "Addin jalan next time ok".. hhmmpphh! And mama didn't help when she asked me the other day if I wanted to follow kakak to school and as soon as she said that I grabbed kakak's school bag and ran to the door. And then I found out she was just testing me.. :-( .. why do adults do that a lot ah?

As you can see, my personality is shining through more and more everyday. Far from the "subdued" and "cool" baby that everyone perceived me to be before, I am definitely feistier and fighting harder to get my way these days. And something mama says that I do that abang and kakak didn't do when they were younger is to hit people! Well I have to admit that I DO do that but it's only to get the attention that sometimes I feel I'm not getting enough of!

At the same time, mama also says that I'm the friendliest out of the 3 of us as I'm not afraid of new faces and I get easily comfortable with new people.

So if you do meet me, you'd probably find that I am relatively more open than my siblings but WATCH OUT, I might just "hempas" you if I don't get my way! Heehee!
