Alisha at 2 years

I am two years old!! Actually as I write this, I am already 2 years and 1 month but what I am about to list here are things about me that were already happening more than a month ago.. it's just that I never got round to blogging about them..

Some of my achievements are:

--I know how to feed myself-of course I was able to do this a long time ago with finger foods and with fruits but lately I have mastered feeding myself with a spoon during my meal times too! (Providing the food is ready bekaut on the spoon already..)

-I love to copy what mama does (well at least pretend to do the stuff that I see her do) like drink tea, preparing food in the kitchen (on my barbie kitchen set babah got for me for my present) and pushing baby Emma in her lil stroller:

yes, I realise this isn't baby Emma hehe.. This was when we were still in Singapore and baby Emma was in Brunei. So Abg's lion had to be my baby at the time!

--My gross motor skills are just amazing that I think I scare mama sometimes! I am so hyperactive especially when I'm at the playground and I can practically climb anything in the playground now! I especially like going down slides:

I got really good with these balancing beams at Singapore Zoo's Kids' World after just a few tries:

But somehow I still don't like to get wet so much.. I just feel like it's too much hassle to change into your swimsuit then having to get yourself wet (including my hair!) and then having to shower straight after and change clothes lagi etc etc.. I'd rather just sit back and watch abang get all messy! Babah says I'm just like mama in this!

Other random things about me now:

a. I am always keen to greet people by saying "Hi, [name of person]" and at the same time saying bye too...

b. I can almost understand everything that is said to me

c. I love entertaining baby Addin and making him giggle!

d. I just love love to sing! Though mama says my voice sound crackling funny sometimes but hey at least I sing in tune! My favourites and those that I know completely by heart are Twinkle2 Little Star, the Barney I Love You song and the alphabet song.

e. I can count up to 13!

f. I am half potty trained! I tell when I want to "wee wee" and "beyak"

g. I love love to eat mama's triple berry wholegrain cereal for breakfast (which I call "squirrel")

h. I love drawing little shapes on my little doodle pro

i. And lastly, I insist on sleeping UNDER the blanket every night..

Addin at 8 months

Hi all! It's been such a long time since I posted about my milestones!! There has been so many I don't know where to start! I think I'll just share the highlights lah ah..

1) Motor skills: Well I started crawling about more than a month ago-but just like abang and kaka (as I'm told.. naturally I wouldn't know for sure), I don't like to crawl very much. I lift my body up and is a ready position to move forward but I what I like to do and almost always end up doing is to just sit up! Like this:

But of course I am still easily enticed by something interesting put in front of me so whenever I am interested I will still try very hard to crawl forward and get the thing-it's just that mama is slowly losing her credibility in this cause whenever I start going forward, then she keeps moving the thing forward too!!

I am also already beginning to pull myself up from things I can hold on to.. So that is another time when I would eager to crawl forward once I see something I can pull myself up with! I will pose a picture of me standing up like that in my next post.

2) Social Skills: I really looked for my parents and siblings when they left me for 6 days.. sob sob so I was so ecstatic when they came back that I haven't stopped playing with them ever since! I especially like to watch when abang and kaka get into a fight! hehe- somehow I do notice that kaka's always the one who likes to disturb abang first, but then abang can be quite mean back to kaka too! Hmph, wait till I get into the ring! Haha more headache for mama and babah!

I am also more manja nowadays with mama especially since she has been away a lot that I would definitely cry if she comes in and doesn't come and get me straight away.. and also I still want her to put me to sleep every night. Again, I would cry if she doesn't...

I am less fussy with unfamiliar people carrying me now-though I am recognising faces more too so that's why I'm probably less fussy.. I am completely fine with nenek girl carrying me now:

3) Logical Thinking: I love to look in the mirror now that I know I'm looking at myself! I can always guarantee that I will smile a BIG smile when you place me in front of the mirror. Does that make me vain?...

Those are really all I can think of now.. My language skills is improving as I can say "aawwuu" now but I have yet to babble mama and babah-which I know mama and babah is anxiously waiting for me to say at any time! But I do make noises when spoken to..

We went to Singapore!

Last Tuesday, Alisha and I bid adieu to Addin for 6 days and made our way to Singapore!!! I have been looking forward to this trip for the longest time-especially going to Singapore Zoo! I've practically mapped out our route at the zoo with my eyes closed already!

We had so much fun! You are read more details of our trip here. Nevertheless, I was sooo happy to get home cause I really missed being away from Addin! Hopefully he can come along to our next holiday.. and when will that be mama?..
