Always hold abang's hand

Mama is always telling me to hold abang's hand which I don't really mind.. I'm just worried that abang thinks I'm taking away his "coolness" when he's holding my hand!

I can sit up on the bath now mama so I don't need that baby leaning support behind me anymore okay!

Family Day Out

Wow! We did so many things today! After sending Aunty Ida off to Giant for her day off, Babah, Mama, Aunty Nor, Abang, Kakak and I set off to the Mall! First kakak had her haircut at Alan Studio.. she cried a little so mama had to carry her whilst he hair was being trimmed. This is kakak after the cut (with mama):

Then abang and kakak went on these fun animal rides. I am obviously too small to go on it, but it's ok, I was happily playing with mama in the meantime!

Then we went to kaka zaty's house, which we always love to do! See how happy I am just being with my kaka zaty!

Can you imagine my excitement when I saw this huge Barney??

Aunty Nor also bought me a birthday cake! Thanks Aunty Nor, Uncle Aman, Kaka Zaty, Abang Azeem, Abang Mu'eez and Abang Qawee!

What a fun day!! Thanks babah and mama!

I Heart Trish Too

Mama and Aunty Wen Wen are always raving on about their Trish McEvoy makeup so it's only fitting that I wanted to give it a try too..

Figured the easiest way to start is using the lip pencil, seeing how I can draw things on paper with normal pencils already..

So waddaya think? Not bad for someone who tried to do it laju2 and sipu2 before mama catches me right?..

A quiet afternoon at the beach

Our family have had it with the more popular beaches like Rimba and Muara, just because they are so filthy! I don't understand how careless people can be in leaving their rubbish all over the place! So we thought we might as well make the most of what we have by going to the beach in Berakas Camp since it's just a stone's throw from our home! As abang would say "DUH!!"

Here I am wearing abang's old cap which covered my face and neck. My only gripe is though sometimes it covered too much that I'm not able to see anything...But I had fun nevertheless. Mama carried me in the carrier and I was so happy the whole time.. enjoying the cool breeze from the ocean..

When it was time to go home, abang was being his fussy self again about his slippers.. He doesn't like his slippers wet (which babah accidentally spilled water over) and here is abang trying to dry them off by pouring sand on them.. not sure if it actually worked..
A lovely thing occurred when babah's friend came over riding a horse! As you can imagine, abang got really excited! And he was so brave- he actually patted the horse!
Now how do I hint to my parents that these beach outings should be a weekly thing?...

Raiyan's 5th Birthday

Happy Birthday to Me! I turned 5 last Monday and since it was a public holiday for both babah and me (after RBAF anniversary was on Saturday), Babah and I spent my birthday doing a whole bunch of stuff together. (Sorry Lish, I wanted to bring you but babah said better not since you're still covered in pox marks! Next time ok?)

First we went to Alan Studio at the Mall to get my long overdue haircut. (Babah and mama purposely didn't cut my hair when it should have been done weeks ago so that I can cover my pox marks and still attend the LL launching ceremony 2 weeks ago hehe). Usually, I would ONLY get my haircut by Uncle Alex at Katty's Gadong but he wasn't around and since I am finding it hotter these days with my big hair, I thought hey what the heck, let's just give Alan a try. Plus I got to sit in an army combat car whilst getting my hair cut! Look how handsome I am now:

Then babah and I went to the bookstore and I got my birthday wish! A book called "counting animals" which came with a giant jungle mat and small animal figurines! In the afternoon, Auntie Wen Wen and Uda joined us and they bought me MORE presents! I got a new playdoh set from Auntie Wen Wen and Uda got me a bowling set! Here I am enjoying the playdoh. I'm so blissfully happy that I actually didn't mind at all that Alisha joined in:

I know it drives mama crazy that I mixed the playdoh like these.. but I was making a rainbow ok mama!Then Alisha and me blew candles and cut up my mini birthday cakes from Bakerlyn:

Addin at 6 months

Hello All! Addin here, and as you've heard from Kaka Lish, am recovering from my poxy scabs.. It feels a lot better now once they've dried up but I could hardly sleep during those first nights! Thank god babah and mama caved in and fed me the anti-viral meds that helped dry the pox quickly. Otherwise I really think I would have been completely covered with them! Yikes!

Anyway, I've come a long way this past month, especially since I haven't updated in a while:

1. I actually knew how to roll around on my tummy at 4 months but I forgot to post it. Now, I can't possibly stay still on the bed and mama is forever worried that I might just roll off the bed these days. I keep rolling over and over and around and around!

2. I've started to lift my body off the ground together with bringing my knees up.. the seeds of crawling I am told..

3. I've started to eat wholegrain porridge with chicken stock, chicken and assorted vegetables everyday for lunch, with boiled water. And every evening, I have my organic gluten free cereal with assorted boiled fruits. Like kaka, I seem to be a fussy eater.. I'm hoping to taste better tasting foods in the future!

4. I just love, love to kena bawa main that I will, never fail, give my heartmelting smile back every time. I especially love it when "Audzubillahiminasyaitanirajim" is being read out! Somehow, it ALWAYS brings a big smile to my face!"

5. I started on enfalac A+ but I still feed off mama when she comes home from work and through the night

6. I'm ashamed to admit that I like to watch TV! The other day, Auntie Ida and Kaka was covering the TV and I had to move from side to side still trying to catch a view!

7. I definitely know my name now and will always immediately turn around when being called!

8. I smile when I see my reflection in the mirror!

9. I still don't like to sit in the car seat and still cried when I'm placed there. But mama is so adamant in making me get used to it that I'm forced to just sit there until I queiten down!

10. I'm always so attentive when watching abang and kakak play together.. Can't wait to be able to join them!

11. When I'm feeling like I want extra TLC, I just want my mama and nobody else! And don't try to trick me ok, I know the minute she enters the house that she's around!

Alisha at 22 months

Phew! What a month it has been! Sorry I know I've been really late in updating about myself this past month, but you know what happened? I got the chicken pox!! First abg Raiyan got it from school, then baby Addin got it and shortly after, there were the spots appearing all over my beautiful pweshes face and body.. sigh.. not that it's anything new with me though since I'm forever itching due to my sporadic excema and frequent mosquito bites. There's never a day that goes by without me going "dhatall, dhatall" (gatal..)

Some interesting anecdotes about me lately:

1. I must send abang off to his class every morning. Otherwise, I will scream non-stop all the way till we reach nenek's house;

2. I can independently go up and go down the stairs already. The other day, when Auntie Ida was ahead of me whilst going down the stairs, I heard mama asking "Alisha, where are you"? and I answered "Coming mama"

3. I can do this cutest wave when saying good bye to others where my fingers go up and down.. mama said it's a very carrie bradshaw way of waving.. god knows what she's talking about but I hear she's fabulous so I'll take it!

4. My abang just completely amuses me constantly with his antics that I just have to follow everything he does and says lately.. my recent favourites "No!Mama First!" and "Stop it!" and "Uh-Oh TV Tired"

5. Also, I just love to sit in and join abang's sessions with Jo. I especially love it when Jo blows bubbles and she's so great, she lets me have a go too! (never mind that I blow with all my might that I have to close my eyes to do it and by the time I'm done my bubbles are gone!)

6. I love my kaka zana and where abang is constantly looking for kaka zaty, I'm forever looking for kaka zana!

7. I am completely mini-mama when it comes to favourite foods. I just love sweetcorn and ground peanuts too!

8. My hair is long that I don't mind it being tied up anymore (the rubber band used to bother me)

9. I love to play peek a boo with baby Addin

10. I love to play playdoh with abang

11. I just love Barney!

12. I love to point out to others things that I love. Like when babah got me the Barney DVD the other day, I had to tell nenek "Wook nenek, Barney!" (Look nenek)

13. I always have to point out "elmo and baby" when we pass Soon Lee Megamart Lambak!

Wow! What a long post! Better cut it short since I have to update on my 23 month old post in a few days time anyway! hehehe
