Bye Bye Singapore

Our family left Singapore for good on 15th September. It was very bittersweet as we were looking forward to settling down as a family again but at the same time, it was sad to bid farewell to all our new friends and to such a fun city to be in..
I hope babah and mama will take us there again in the near future... Especially for Raiyan's sake! He needs to go to the zoo at least once a year!

Peace and quiet at last!

Every time our family goes out in Singapore, there is always so much noise and crowds and crowds of people so Alisha and me were pleasantly surprised when babah and mama took us to to a park called Chinese Gardens where there were wide open spaces for us to run around and hardly anyone around!

It was also during the time of the lantern festival and its theme was sea animals! So I saw quite a lot of gigantic paper animals around..

After walking around, we sat down to have a small picnic and enjoy our packed food. I enjoyed my strawberries and animal biscuits amidst the fresh air and peacefulness...

Farewell Dinner at Megan's

Megan's parents and all their friends threw babah a farewell dinner do a few days before we left, so our family followed uncle William in his car to Megan's tangerine apartment somewhere quite far from where we stay. (To be honest, I thought we were going to the zoo at first as I have been hinting at babah and mama that day about going, by laying down the Singapore Zoo map everywhere for them to see..And then I was more convinced when just upon leaving uncle William gave me a "Friends of the Zoo" car sticker which I hold close to me til this day).
But alas, when I woke up from my short nap in the car, twas not the zoo.. sigh. Nevertheless, Megan's apartment had a reallyfun kiddie pool which I couldn't wait to get into:

I only had a brief dip into the pool as babah forgot to bring my floatie and he wasn't prepared to get into the pool wit me either. It was quite cold as well and I'm sure babah and mama thought it's not advisable since I was still having the slight sniffles..

I did play at the playground for a while and had fun there:

Once it got dark, the children then moved in to the function room to play with all the toys set up my Megan's parents. Here I am in the tent with Clement:

There were quite a number of children around so you can imagine how we drove our parents crazy with all our shoutings, wailings and cryings. I, on the other hand, turned into my good boy self and played quitely and not get into quarrels with the younger babies. Mama said that a few aunties were saying how quiet I was. Yes, mama was quite surprised to hear that but of course happy, even though it's not the case when we are at home!

Got the sniffles again

I have the sniffles and the slight cough again. It seems that we are ping pong-ing it to each other within the family again. (Although for me, I think it's also to do with swimming a bit too late in the day.. hey but it was worth it!)

I don't mind my runny nose and the occasional cough so much (at least my body is not warm) but what I do HATE is that yellow thing you see above. If you don't know what it is, it's a sucking tube that is inserted into my nose holes to suck out whatever goo is in there. But it's so uncomfortable and annoying!

So if you see this look on my face, it's either I see my parents approaching me with it in their hands or I have just gone through the traumatic deal of having it stuffed up my nose! uwaaa...

Ps. Can't complain about the rosy cheeks I have when I'm not feeling well though.. hehe

Helloo.. Babah..!

I think it's probably due to watching mama talk on the phone to babah so many times this year that now I think anything that is remotely the size and shape of a phone is something that I can use to talk to my babah also... hehee

My first sob watching TV

I was watching a documentary on monkeys on my newly discovered favourite channel, Discovery WILD when all of a sudden, during a scene where Bobo the Monkey was being ostracised from his family and clan, I started to cry..

I think it was because of the music and the sad look on Bobo's face, but I just couldn't help feeling so sad and shedding some tears after that:

I don't know why but mama was kinda giggling at me in the background.. jahat eh mama ah..

Alisha's eating update

As I have mentioned time and time again, I am incredibly fussy when it comes to eating. However, lately I'm finding my tastebuds are slightly improving and I am curious to try more and more varities of food.

Then recently, I discovered that mama has been using the help of this really good book:

It contains some recipes that I genuinely end up liking, such as the chicken fruit salad, jacket potatoes with a number of suggested toppings and the salmon fish cakes. Not only are these foods yummy for me but they are all made from fresh ingredients so they are all extremely good for me too!

PS: I do still love my fruits and sweets though!
