Dancing.. is one of the many things I love to do..

Hi babah sayang! I'm sure you know by now how much I just love song and dance. And it's even more so now that I've discovered Elmo's Favourites Songs VCD which mama routinely switches on for me every night. I love it! As soon as they start singing I just HAVE to get up and start flapping my arms up and down! My personal faves are "I've been working on the railroad" and "BaaBaa Black sheep"!

I'll be doing my thing... until abang can't help himself and hugs me like crazy cos I must look so irresistably cute when I do my dance.. hmph, kacau eh..

Can't wait to see you soon babah! Love you!

Almost there... skali inda tia jadi...

Hi babah, I don't know why Alisha is so scared to walk... padahal a few days ago, she already took her first 3 steps ever! We were all so thrilled for her!

BUT since then... nothing, zilch! All she does is stand up for about 5 seconds then sit back down again. I myself can't help getting so excited whenever I see her stand up and I really try to encourage her to make that one pweshes step..look:

And then I bow my head in disappointment when she squats back down again.. sigh:

I hope she will muster up enough confidence soon! Especially before our one month trip to Singapore! Wouldn't it be fun if she can run around with me then!

Will keep you updated babah!Love u!

My Very Own Truck

Hi Babah! Guess what came up Nenek's driveway this late afternoon? This long, bright blue truck and it's got my name on it! Uncle Ahmad then put me in the driver's seat and I got to play with the steering wheel! Wow, I'm only 4 years old and I have my own truck already! Not bad for a businesskid in the making huh?

Thanks nenek!!

Our first photo shoot together!

To celebrate Alisha's 1st Birthday, Mama treated her to a photo shoot (as mama says-"to have an early start on her portfolio, in case she becomes the next Linda Evangelista") and knowing how kiasu I am like babah, I wanted to join in as well.
I vaguely remember going to one myself when I was two years old:

But this time round mama was definitely more prepared. She brought lots of toys and books for Alisha to play with and she also brought her 3 change of clothes! We really enjoyed having our photos taken with Uncle Jerome because with him, he just lets us be ourselves whilst he just snaps away from a distance.. that way our pictures look more natural and not posed. Mama should know by now if she expects us to pose for the camera, it will take her hours to get that one perfect shot..and basically, we babies just don't like to be told what to do..

Hi Babah! I'm still speechless after seeing how pwetty I am! Heehee...

Alisha's 1st Mini B'day Do

Hi Babah, today we had a small mini party for Baby Lish.. it wasn't really a party if you compare it with my gigantic bash in 2004 but you away along with nenek laki, nenek bini and uda away on umrah, plus mama spent a bomb on Alisha's photoshoot, we thought a cake with some food will do.... And honestly, how much of it does Alisha understand anyway?

Hi babah! I was wondering what mama, auntie wenwen and usu kelly were fussing about this afternoon, rupanya it was for my birthday! It was so much fun! We had a barrel of fried chicken from KFC, a jumbo margherita pizza from Frattini's Piccolo and a monte carlo Minnie Mouse cake from Le Apple!

Abang Raiyan's lady friend Auntie Mellie also came and she gave me presents which were a pwetty summer dress (for me to go to Palawan Beach next) and 2 books cos she wants me to be smart along with being pwetty! Thanks Auntie Mellie!!

After my 10 minute mini birthday party, I was a happy bunny and went straight to sleep!

Can't wait to celebrate my b'day again when you come back next week babah! Love you!

PS: Thanks so much for the party mama, auntie wen wen, usu kelly and abang!!! Love you all!

070707-Lisha Lish is 1!

Happy Birthday To Me! I am one year old! I can finally have the word "year" after my numerical age instead of "month"... (why am I so keen to get older ah? Mama said it's normal. It's only when I reach 29, then I would want things to slow down.. whatever that means!)

Apparently, last night I woke up at 3:05am for my feeding and mama said that was exactly the time when I was born into this world. Heehee somehow I just had this automatic feeling to get up at that time.

Now that I'm one let me just list out things about me that would be interesting to remember:

1. I still have a v. strong sweet tooth. Mama has discovered something new to feed me in making sure I get my protein intake at meals and you will not believe what it is: Crepe (cos it has eggs in it) with Honey Mushroom Chicken (naturally, I like the honey part) with peanut butter!!! Before you think that last item is weird (to be mixed with the food before it), it's not so bad when you think of chicken satay with peanut sauce right?

2. Like Abang Raiyan, I also love to read books and my personal favourites are Zoe's Baby Faces, Daddy and Me (cos it reminds me of our time together) and Clara Cow (because of the touchy feely part of the books I can play with!)

3. I still have this odd thing about me where one minute my eyes take up half of my face (ie. they're huge and round!) and the next minute I look like nenek girl! Heehee, I guess the genes from the orient are so strong, they will surface anywhere, anytime..

4. I still cannot take my bottle feed lying down as it makes cough right after and I risk vomiting some of the milk out..

5. I still hate taking any medicines (I don't care if it is strawberry flavoured, it still tastes gross!), hate having my face wiped with tissue (even though I constantly sweat and at the moment I have a runny nose!), hate having to fight with Abang Raiyan to play with any toys (whether it's his OR mine!), hate it when mama goes off to work or even worse when it's days at a time.. but most of all I HATE that you are not around all the time!

6. I am however more tolerant with new faces now and hardly cry when I see unfamiliar faces. Like yesterday, Jerome the photgrapher was actually carrying me for a while and I didn't let out a peep!)..

7. I can stand up independently for about 5 seconds before I chicken out and sit back down! I have yet to build up my confidence ok!

8. I sleep better on a pillow. And I'm not talking about those kiddie pillows with the cartoon imprint, I like 'em adult goose down pillows with the egyptian cotton case...

9. I give a flying kiss in a very un-ladylike manner.. in fact, I do a lot of things in an un-ladylike manner.. what can I say? I'm mommy's girl... But mama said being lady-like is overrated. She was hardly one growing up and she still snagged you in the end right?

10. I flap my arms up and down whenever I hear any kind of music! I especially like the theme tune to Spongebob Squarepants!

Ok, that's all I can think of for now. Padahal I thought of more this morning whilst I was planning this blog! I will add some more when I remember them ok!

Love you Babah and see you soon!

We love Thursdays

Yay! It's Thursday which means only one important thing for us babies.. fresh hard-to-get imported fruits from supa save! a.k.a. a break from apples and bananas for a few days..

I was so ecstatic to get my new stock of strawberries after what seems to be an eternity (ok, that was a bit dramatic, it was actually only a week..)

Alisha comot was so happy to have her cherries and saturn peaches too! Here she is indulging in her black cherries.. not having a care in the world as to what she looks like..

Thanks mamaaaaa!!!!

Spending time with the cousins

Hi babah, last night we went to Nenek Girl's house to celebrate Kaka Zaty turning 12 yesterday.
I don't cry when I see them lot anymore cos by now I already know who they are. What's best about not crying anymore is discovering that all my cousins are actually really fun to play with. I was really surprised to see the boys paying me so much attention! more than my abang ever have! And Kaka Zaty and Kaka Zana were fascinating to watch.. that's what they probably mean by girl power!
Unsurprisingly, abang raiyan cried buckets when it was time to go home. But mama said she'll take us to see them again this Friday, insyaAllah. Can't wait!

Love you babah!

The other ways to wear mama's lapik tudung

Hi babah,

I can wear it like this and look like a wizard:

Hehe or I can wear it like this and look like a rastafarian a-la Bob Marley:

Love you babah!

Watch out! I have the remote control!

Hah! Now I know what this black thing called the remote control does! Now whenever I want to get mama's or abang's attention, I just press this button towards the tv that they are watching that causes them to not layan me and for sure, they will go "Alishaaaa.. What you do?...." heheh

I have the sniffles..

Hi babah..
Out of nowhere yesterday, I started to get the sniffles so I haven't been my usual self last night and today. Mama gave me actifed as well and you know that makes me doze off in no time so I've been sleeping a lot too.
My appetite is not really there too so I didn't want to eat my lunch today.
What is worse is that there are no strawberries in the house! Mama said she went to supa save yesterday and they ran out! And nenek girl is away in Maldives so she's not around to give me her stock... guess I have to live with these apples for now...

Discovering the straw

Hi babah, I have always wondered how mama and abang raiyan drank their drinks using those tubey looking things, so I am happy to report that I too have mastered the art of sucking from a straw! And I really like it! It is definitely much better than drinking from my training cup... now I feel as grown up as mama and abang raiyan!
